Owen Goldman
Owen Goldman
Owen has been playing drums since he was a young teenager. His first band actually played music from the Doors, which Owen got to see perform in Asbury Park, NJ, and New York City before Jim passed. He toured with Ray and Robby of the Doors from 2002-2013 as a percussionist, stage technician, and stage manager. After Ray passed, he continued touring with Robby Krieger as a stage manager, technician, percussionist and as a drummer, also recording a track for Robby Krieger’s Grammy nominated solo album, “Singularity”.
His passion for the drums has continued on to this very day, while playing and recording with countless bands in many styles all over the United States and Europe.
Education wise, Owen received a B.A. in Percussion Performance at UCSD in San Diego, then attended Musicians’ Institute in Hollywood, Ca, where he became a teacher and curriculum writer for many years.
In the last 10 years Owen has played with many recording artists including Gary U.S. Bonds, Denny Laine from the Moody Blues and Wings, Terry Sylvester, from the Hollies and JF Coley from the duo England Dan and John Ford Coley. He also plays in a number of original bands, on tour and in the recording studio, including the Cryers, Cody Lepow and Suzanne Slair.
